WINNER LAJOS LIVES HIS DREAM – GENERALI OPEN FINAL IN KITZBÜHEL & TENNIS TRAINING WITH DOMINIC THIEM!

A Summer Highlight for Lajos – Twice Over!
Thanks to his participation in our charity campaign with Austrian tennis player Dominic Thiem in support of St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research, Lajos was able to first experience the final of the Generali Open Kitzbühel 2025 live with a friend – and just a few days later, take to the court himself with the US Open champion.

Part 1: Final Fever in Kitzbühel
On July 26, the weather gods weren’t exactly kind – pouring rain, soaked stands, the whole package – but the atmosphere? Absolutely top-notch! With music, drinks, and great vibes, Lajos and his friend cheered on as Alexander Bublik defeated Arthur Cazaux in straight sets (6:4, 6:3) to take the title. A moment Lajos will definitely remember.

Part 2: Tennis Training with Dominic Thiem
Just a few days later, on August 11, Lajos and his daughter headed to the tennis academy in Oberpullendorf. After checking in at the Sporthotel Kunz and enjoying a relaxed dinner, the excitement kept building. The next morning, Dominic himself welcomed Lajos in the hotel lobby – open, warm, and ready for a special day.

Together with the viprize team and our colleague Reini from St. Anna Children’s Cancer Research, there was plenty of laughter – and the initial nerves quickly disappeared. Out on the center court, Lajos showed what he could do. Rallies with the US Open champion, being so close to his idol, and sunshine overhead made the training truly special. To wrap things up, Lajos got a fascinating behind-the-scenes look as Thiem coached a young talent.

As a farewell gift, Lajos received some very personal mementos: a tennis racket, a pair of sunglasses, and a signed book – treasures with great sentimental value.

From rainy stands in Kitzbühel to sunny rallies in Oberpullendorf: For Lajos, it was two days full of tennis, emotions, and unforgettable memories. “When do you ever get to train with a US Open champion?” – for him, the answer is clear: on a day he’ll never forget.
