Österreichische Sporthilfe (ÖSH) is a non-profit and independent organization dedicated to supporting young and top athletes in Austria. Founded in 1971, Sporthilfe supports both athletes with and without disabilities by providing financial and non-material resources that enable them to concentrate fully on their sporting achievements.

The organization does not finance its projects through government funding, but through partnerships with various companies, charity events and fundraising activities. Austrian Lotteries has been the main sponsor of Österreichische Sporthilfe since 1986, and many other companies also support various funding programs and act as sponsors at events.

One of the best-known events is the “LOTTERIEN Sporthilfe Gala”, the largest charity event in Austrian sport. Every year, outstanding athletes are honored in various categories. Sporthilfe also organizes many other charity events, such as golf, running and bowling tournaments. A particular highlight is the annual charity race “Ski for Gold”, which is also one of the most important events.
